What really counts: quality of life

In Eberswalde workers in all industries will not only find an exciting business environment, but also an attractive family-friendly home. Eberswalde lies in the metropolis region of Berlin Brandenburg, just a 30-minute train journey from the capital. The city with a population of 40,000 is a prime example of a successful mix of a diverse urban life and proximity to nature and offers everything that makes a region worth living in.

Urban life in the countryside

Eberswalde is a green city, with the idyllic Finow Canal snaking its way through the city for 12 kilometres. It is ideal for walks, cycle tours and boat tours. A visit to the Botanic Garden, one of the oldest in Europe, also allows you to quickly forget the hectic of everyday life. And just beyond the city boundaries further attractions in the form of the Barnim Nature Park and the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve await explorers. And those who prefer to stay at home are also spoilt for choice: Should it be an apartment in one of the lovingly renovated “Gründerzeit” houses, a modern apartment or their own house? Here everything is possible. And affordable.

Diversity is the trump card

Eberswalde is a young, lively city with a rich cultural and educational offering. It is the home of the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, has a state-of-the-art vocational college and a school landscape that leaves nothing to desire. The events calendar in Eberswalde is well filled. Every Saturday morning at 10.30 it is time for „Guten Morgen Eberswalde“ – and the market square and the adjoining Paul Wunderlich House turn into a stage for theatre, readings and performing art. The “Provinziale” film festival, the “Jazz in E” festival and the “PurPur” garden festival also attract huge interest from outside of the region.

Eberswalde also offers its inhabitants and guests a wide range of leisure activities such as Eberswalde Zoo, the Family Garden and the Baff Leisure Pool. You can find detailed information at www.tourismus-eberswalde.de.
